25 Years of Academic Success

The College of Business Administration is celebrating its 25th anniversary! Since the undergraduate program was reinstated in 1996, Pitt Business has witnessed continued growth and success. A lot has changed over the past years, but the rigor and quality of our academics has remained constant. Our students continue to push the boundaries of business and take on leadership roles in different capacities. Pitt Business will spend this year celebrating and commemorating our rich history with events, giving opportunities, and more.

As we reflect on the past 25 years, we also turn our eyes to the future of Pitt Business. Every student who has come through the doors of Pitt Business (be it Sennott Square or elsewhere) has had an impact on the history of the school. We eagerly await what the next 25 years and beyond will bring as the legacy of Pitt Business continues.

Hail to Pitt Business!

Celebrate Our Success Together

Happy Anniversary! From now through April 2022, the College of Business Administration is commemorating the 25 years since undergraduate business degrees were reinstated at Pitt.  We invite you to be part of the celebration.

Over that time the program has more than quadrupled in size. It has also consistently grown in quality and reputation – and in 2021, we were proud to be ranked 14th in the Poets&Quants Undergraduate Business School Ranking of U.S. public universities. Our graduates get great jobs and lead lives of impact.

As we reflect on this quarter-century of success, we’ll celebrate with various events, stories, and activities. This year also includes an initiative called 25@25 that will honor 25 people who embody our mission of taking students From the Classroom, To the City, To the World.

We want you to be part of the celebration. Check this website for stories and ways you can participate over the coming months and be sure to follow the Pitt Business social media accounts to share your memories.

We’re excited to come together for this milestone as we begin the next 25 years of success.

25@25

Liz Adams

Liz Adams is a integral part of the Pitt Business legacy. Adams is the Director of the CBA Academic Advising. Adams has been a part of CBA since the beginning.

“I was a supporter of the College of Business Administration before there was a College of Business Administration! I remember working as an advisor with undecided Arts & Science students who wanted to major in accounting, marketing, or finance and having to tell them that Pitt did not offer those majors. I was thrilled when the College of Business Administration opened in 1995, and I’m extremely proud to have worked from CBA since then.”

While Adams has created a lasting impact on the school, the school has had an equally lasting impact on Adams.

“CBA has given me the opportunity to help the University of Pittsburgh become an even better school. I love helping Pitt Business students on their journey through college. I have always considered myself lucky to be an academic advisor in CBA.”

Student Spotlight

This scholarship award has helped me with my college tuition and expenses and has allowed me to focus on my school and professional career and less on the cost of higher education. It really means a lot to me to be selected as a recipient of a scholarship and has helped me accomplish my greatest goals. My time at Pitt has truly been life-changing and it wouldn’t have happened with your support.

Your support has encouraged me to work and study my hardest to earn the best grades. I hope one day that I am able to pay your generosity forward and support the next generation of Pitt students. I had the most amazing opportunities at Pitt due to donors like you and support from the Pitt community.
