Tsarsis has taught previously at Columbia, New York, St. Joseph's, and Elon universities. He started working on Wall Street while in high school. He began in the mail room at Drexel Burnham Lambert and during his 11 years there, elevated himself to corporate bond trader, OTC trader, and finally to Vice President of Institutional International equities trading and sales. For 23 of his 29 years on Wall Street, he focused on the international markets and was considered an expert on global asset allocation. For 17 of the 29 years, he was a department manager and team leader as well as executive committee member.
During his time on Wall Street, Tsarsis was fortunate to visit approximately 40 different markets globally. These visits allowed him the opportunity to see how markets overseas functioned, their potential, and their deficiencies as well as to understand the cultural, regulatory and sociological issues they possessed.
