Ethics Competitions

The Berg Center is also a proud sponsor of a number of student-focused competitions that focus on ethics, leadership, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. As part of our mission to equip leaders who can "add value to the organizations," we cultivate diverse partnerships in order to create and deliver interactive case competitions. As part of the Pitt Business focus on experience-based learning, student participation in case competitions is a valuable tool for learning and provides an excellent networking opportunity for our students and members of the corporate and alumni community.

For over a decade, the Berg Center co-sponsored the Pittsburgh Business Ethics Awards in partnership with the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals in order to promote business ethics in the Pittsburgh region.

Going into its second year, the BNY Mellon Katz Invitational Case Competition (formerly the Katz Invitational) took place January 23-24, 2014. Promoting Pittsburgh's business community, highlighting the quality of education and focus on experienced-based learning at the Katz Graduate School of Business, as well as encouraging networking between MBA professionals were all goals for this year's competition.
