The Certificate in Organizational Leadership and Ethics (COLE), offered in cooperation with the University of Pittsburgh Office of Human Resources, focuses on preparing University supervisors and administrators to effectively lead across units, departments, and schools through a dynamic university system.
The Organizational Leadership Certificate prepares MBA students to address key challenges as well as opportunities faced by dynamic and global organizations. Many of these credits can be obtained through participation in one of our Fellowships.
In addition, one of the new program enhancements within the Berg Center is the creation of the Socially Responsible Investment Portfolio. Members examine the impact and parameters of socially responsible financial investing.
The David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership recently co-sponsored a luncheon focused on attracting more investment for healthy, local, and sustainable food-based businesses in the Pittsburgh region. The event was part of the center's broader efforts to promote research,education, and impact in the community.
The David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership received the 2016 Research Center Impact Award from the Academy of Management. The international honor recognizes a center for the impact of its scholarly contributions and collaborations with industry.
David Shapira, executive chairman of Giant Eagle, Inc., recently was honored in a special ceremony to celebrate the establishment of the H.J. Zoffer Chair in Leadership and Ethics. The chair will advance excellence in teaching, research, and service.
Audrey Murrell, associate dean of the undergraduate College of Business Administration, will re-assume the role of director of the David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership, effective January 1, 2016. This will be in addition to her current role as associate dean.
