The CBA Alumni Advisory Board provides an opportunity for especially engaged alumni to contribute their ideas around top priorities as set by the Associate Dean of the College of Business Administration: Alumni Engagement, Professional Development and Student Engagement. Members of the board work closely with the Associate Dean to help drive success in these spaces through their advice and involvement, while representing to the best of their ability all Pitt Business alumni.
Jacque Skowvron joined DICK’S Sporting Goods in 2014, where she currently services as the company’s Director of Consumer Public Relations and Influencer Strategy.
Skowvron earned her BS in marketing and BA in communications, graduating magna cum laude from the University’s five-year dual degree program between Pitt Business and the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. As an undergraduate, Skowvron followed her passion for sports and interned with Pitt Athletics, FSN Pittsburgh (now AT&T Sports Network), and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Upon graduating, she moved to New York City after she was drafted into the National Football League (NFL)'s management training program.
Skowvron spent five years at the NFL, working in a number of roles including a five-month stint in the NFL’s London Office as her final rotation in the league’s program. Her last three years with the NFL were spent working in the marketing department, where she focused on NFL PLAY 60 and other corporate social responsibility campaigns.
Though she loved her time in New York City, Pittsburgh called her back home, and in 2014, Skowvron took a communications position with DICK’S Sporting Goods. Since joining DICK's, she has led PR efforts for various areas, including the launch of the first-of-its-kind women’s boutique, Chelsea Collective, the company’s partnership with Team USA, and store grand openings. Skowvron has also elevated the PR efforts for the organization’s various product launches, including lines such as CALIA by Carrie Underwood, Second Skin and DSG, marketing campaigns and the work of The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation.
Her current day-to-day responsibilities include leading the strategy and execution of the press efforts for the company’s major marketing campaigns and brand efforts and the company’s influencer marketing campaigns, as well as talent relations with top-tier celebrities and professional athletes. She also oversees the relationship with the Company’s PR agency, 160over90 (formerly WME|IMG).
Skowvron grew up in rural Western Pennsylvania and currently resides in Mount Washington, where she enjoys being an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, traveling and spending time with friends and family. She was named one of “WHIRL’S 2016 Women in Business” by WHIRL magazine and is a current member and acting president of the Pitt CBA Advisory Board, as well as a member of the Business Alumni Association Board.
Pitt Business Affiliations: Jacque and Sara Conroy were the first CBA alumnae to become members of the business Alumnae Council, through which she’s helped to influence both undergraduate Women in Business students and graduate NAWMBA students in her involvement with the annual Dean’s Tea, Women’s Conference, and quarterly Women’s Roundtables. She has provided great insight to Dean Murrell as it relates to the sports business industry space.

Aaron is Chief Administrative Officer at the second largest vision insurance provider in Pennsylvania. Aaron is responsible for accounting & finance, information technology, and data processing in his present role. Aaron previously was a controller for a privately held company and a senior manager at a U.S. top 25 accounting and consulting firm in Pittsburgh. Aaron specialized in providing audit, accounting and consulting services to private businesses in a variety of industries, as well as to employee benefit plans. Aaron was the 2012-2013 President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and has previously served the Pittsburgh Chapter of the PICPA as Co-Chair of the Community Involvement & Social Responsibility Committee and Chair of the Member Services Committee.
Aaron was recognized as one of the PICPA’s 40 Under 40 Members to Watch in 2008. Aaron is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Pitt Business Affiliations: In addition to Aaron’s memberships on our business boards, he continually networks with his former student organization, Beta Alpha Psi, and helped them to celebrate their 15th anniversary this past year. He plans to join their newly instated Alumni Advisory Committee. Aaron also attends MAcc orientations to deliver presentations to students regarding the advantages of membership in the PA Institute of CPAs.

Assurance Partner, PWC
Kirsten R. Albert is an Assurance Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in Pittsburgh, with over 17 years of experience serving a broad range of clients covering a variety of industries. She has primarily served multi-national corporations in the industrial manufacturing, metals, consumer products, and retail industries. Kirsten’s client and firm roles have provided her with deep technical accounting and reporting experience, as well as an extensive global network of contacts needed to help solve the complicated issues faced by her clients.
Kirsten also serves as a leader in PwC’s Midwest Market for Audit Innovation. She identifies and implements opportunities to streamline, standardize, automate, and centralize PwC’s audit procedures over inventory and champions the digital upskilling of her team to drive accelerated innovation at PwC. In addition, Kirsten leads PwC’s Diversity and Inclusion networks in Pittsburgh with a focus on developing and mentoring diverse business professionals and connecting them with peers in the business community.
Kirsten serves on the Board of Directors of The Neighborhood Academy, where she supports fundraising and student engagement activities designed to promote financial literacy and support the school’s college and career counseling program.
Kirsten earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania. She and her husband, Shawn, currently live in Pittsburgh with their two children, Hannah and Levi.
Brookings, South Dakota
Ned joined the South Dakota State University Foundation in January 2016, where he works with alumni, corporations and friends of South Dakota State University to make a difference in the lives of students and faculty.
As an undergrad at Pitt, Ned had the opportunity to intern with the Pittsburgh Penguins front office, which led to a 6 year stint in minor league front office work with a hockey club in Glens Falls, NY and minor league baseball teams in Scranton, PA and Sioux Falls, SD. Ned then transitioned back to college life, joining the SDSU Athletic department in 2008.
Ned has had the opportunity to work with nonprofits for 11+ years. He has helped grow giving in annual funds, corporate support and major/planned gifts. With the SDSU Foundation, he is part of a development team that raises over $50 million annually.
Ned graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001 with a dual degree in Business Administration and Political Science.
Max Kneis is an Associate with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), based out of Atlanta, GA.
He began his career with BCG shortly after graduating with a degree in finance and accounting in 2018, after interning the previous summer. In his role, he has worked on a number of projects across industries and topics, including travel & tourism, retail, industrial goods, pricing, loyalty, and strategy.
As an undergraduate at Pitt, Max was active in a number of student organizations, including the Student Government Board, Phi Beta Lambda, and Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He had the opportunity to serve as the 2017-18 Student Government Board President, working with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni across campus to enhance the student experience.
Since graduation, Max has stayed connected to Pitt, serving on the Alumni Association’s Young Alumni Advisory Team and is heavily involved with the Atlanta Pitt Club. He enjoys mentoring students interested in consulting and helping to guide them through the recruiting process.
Pitt Business Affiliations: Max is part of the Pitt Business Mentoring Match program, and has hosted several events focused on the consulting industry in conjunction with Career Services. Additionally, he serves on the Business Analytics Industry Council.
Adam is the Senior Finance Director at Johnson & Johnson, a multinational medical device, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods manufacturing company.
Before joining Johnson & Johnson in 2018, Adam spent four years at Catalent and eight years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) in the assurance practice. While at PwC, Adam completed a two year secondment in London and provided accounting and financial reporting services to some of the largest companies in Europe. Upon returning from London, he joined the PwC Deals practice in New York and provided accounting advisory services to companies ranging from mergers and acquisitions, spin offs, initial public offerings and complex business structuring. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA.
Pitt Business Affiliations: Adam has provided insight to Dean Murrell regarding the life sciences industry space. He has offered to host students and worked closely with the Program Manager of the Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership to plan future student/alumni professional development opportunities. Adam will be helping one of Pitt Business’s Executives in Residence in coaching students in the corporate finance IPN.
Abhishek founded Blue Lotus Investments in 2014, a company for long-term investing in Indian securities. Prior to this, Abhishek was an investment director for Brandywine Trust Group, responsible for sourcing investments and managing their existing portfolio. The trust group, created specifically for a small group of families of substantial means, offers independence from the "client-agency" relationship of Wall Street banks and traditional asset management firms. As a privately held, non-deposit trust company, Brandywine Trust Group provides independent management of $6 billion in assets, offering fiduciary, investment advisory, custodial, and accounting services.
In addition to Abhishek’s dedication to his company, Blue Lotus Investments, he serves as a member of the Board of Visitors for Shady Side Academy as well as a member of the Endowment Committee to this Board.
Pitt Business Affiliations: Abhishek received two major honors from Pitt Business. He was asked to serve as the 2017 Commencement Speaker, and was also asked to serve as a member of the newly instated Chancellor’s Global Advisory Committee, a group of internationally-focused prominent University stakeholders who will provide guidance directly to the Chancellor on the implementation of his global plans for Pitt, while serving as advocates in their region.
As an aggressive trial attorney, Symone Redwine has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of her wrongful death and injury clients. Relying upon her finance and business background, she has also closed real estate, entertainment, and business deals valued in excess of a million dollars. Clients credit her prompt, efficient, and detail-oriented legal advice as the lynchpin to her successful results.
Symone Redwine has a history of commitment to improving life within Dallas County. After receiving a stellar educational foundation from Bishop Dunne Catholic School in Dallas’ Oak Cliff neighborhood, she received a full scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh at age 17 where she also served as the freshman class co-chair. She majored in finance, studied in London, and completed Inroads Internships with Fortune 500 companies before graduating magna cum laude. Prior to beginning law school, she provided free after-school dance, modeling and theater arts classes to youth in the Southern Sector of Dallas through the non-profit program Junior Players.
After accepting a scholarship to Cornell Law School, Symone honed her research skills as a Business Law teaching assistant and student law clerk in the Cornell Death Penalty project, successfully representing an inmate on death row. Her summers were spent with several top law firms in various cities where she developed her contract, real estate drafting and trial skills.
Upon graduation from Cornell Law School, Symone became licensed in New York and New Jersey, electing to practice trademark, copyright, contract and trial law for several years in New York City and New Jersey. She met her ongoing need to address injustice by providing pro bono legal services to expunge and seal criminal records through former Newark Mayor Cory Booker’s ex-offender re-entry program.
Since her return to Dallas, Symone has opened The Redwine Law Firm, PLLC with her long- standing mentor and aunt, Glynis Redwine.
Pitt Business Affiliations: Symone helps to recruit students residing in the Texas area to attend the University of Pittsburgh, and specifically the business school. A former LaVelle scholar, she praises her business education and how integral it has been in preparing her for a law career and shares these positive experiences with prospective students.

Andrew S. Reichert is the president and founder of Birgo Realty, a Pittsburgh-based private equity real estate firm.
Through this company, he raises capital from investors, and purchases, develops, manages, leases, finances, designs, and builds both commercial and residential real estate.
Prior to founding the company, Mr. Reichert worked as a healthcare representative for PNC, where he developed and sold innovative financial products and data solutions for the healthcare industry.
An avid entrepreneur, Mr. Reichert has founded four companies and been part of several other start-ups. Additionally, he launched a nonprofit focused on financial literacy and is active in local nonprofits, including his church.

John joined IVRI in February 2015 with over (10+) years of sales experience in the Pipe, Valves, & Fitting industry. His prior experience includes Commercial Plumbing & HVAC Mechanical Markets, as well as the Industrial Markets, specifically: Refining, Chemical, and Manufacturing Sectors. He primarily covers the Mechanical, Design, & Industrial Markets in the South Eastern PA, New Jersey, & Delaware for IVRI.
John’s expertise includes: Business to Business Sales, Inventory Solutions, Kaban Management, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Account Management, Goal Setting, Sales Budgets, and relationship building.

John Algie is a mergers & acquisitions attorney in the Pittsburgh office of Reed Smith and has particular experience with professional sports teams, private equity funds and start-ups. John also places an emphasis in his practice on corporate law, governance, and general corporate counseling for privately-held clients.
He previously spent time in the Cleveland office of Jones Day in a similar role, and as the President and General Manager of the Ohio Machine of Major League Lacrosse (MLL). In his three and a half years at the helm of the Machine, John guided the team to success on and off the field. Off the field, John secured partnerships with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Skyline Chili, Donatos Pizza and many more. On the field, John built the Machine roster through the collegiate and supplemental drafts and through key player acquisitions via trades and waiver additions. In 2014, the Machine led Major League Lacrosse (MLL) in offense and made the MLL Playoffs for the first time in club history.
John also spent three years as the MLL's Director of League Operations where his responsibilities included implementation and enforcement of the League's on-field and player personnel rules, college and pro player scouting, and game operations management. John was also one of the primary catalysts for the MLL's change from a 45-second to the 60-second shot clock that has been in effect since the 2005 season.
John earned his Master of Business Administration from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the College of Business Administration. He also graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. John is a member of the national honor societies of Beta Gamma Sigma, Order of the Coif and Omicron Delta Kappa, and is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association.
