Part in Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, the Center for Healthcare Management is a multidisciplinary institute for research and training that is committed to advancing the practice of health care delivery, as well as the improvement of health and well being for all.
Our mission is to bring together researchers and educators from across academic disciplines to make meaningful contributions to knowledge and practice. The University of Pittsburgh is a global leader in health and biomedical research and has recently been ranked among the top five recipients of National Institutes of Health research funding nationwide.

In partnership with UPMC and the Katz School, the center offers degree, training, and fellowship programs for physicians, executives, and other leaders in the health care industry.
Research at the center includes publications, policy reports, doctoral dissertations, and presentations.
The Experienced-Based Learning courses provided a hands-on experience that helped me to develop leadership qualities, improve my communication abilities, and sharpen my critical thinking skills through real-world application.
It was very clear to me that Katz was the perfect option for my education and future career. Great medical care strikes a balance between both business and medicine. My time at Katz allowed me to shadow and connect with UPMC doctors and get an inside look at the business side of medical startups.
