For students in the Katz Executive MBA (EMBA) in Healthcare program, we offer a schedule to fit your life and learning style, which combines online core courses with on-campus electives and weekend sessions. You will have access to the same faculty, student services and career management assistance as our full-time students.
While the program has a rigorous 19-month schedule, it is designed it to meet the needs of clinicians and healthcare administrators who are managing demanding personal and professional obligations. Meeting two days a month in Pittsburgh—a thriving center of innovation in medicine, health systems and biotechnology—students form a close-knit cohort that represents a range of specialties, areas and employers.

Experience-based Learning
Experienced-based learning (EBL) is central to the Katz experience. In the EMBA-H program, this opportunity is a research practicum that enables you to put your business education into practice in a healthcare setting by solving a real problem for your organization.
Over the course of five semesters, working individually or in small groups, you will investigate a business issue, both conceptualizing and designing a research project. Working closely with faculty, you will conduct field research and prepare an analysis of the business issue. As part of your final grade, you will present your findings to a panel of Katz faculty members and healthcare leaders.
