Experience-Based Learning // Management Simulation Capstone

Unconventional Learning

Our capstone course ties together everything you’ve learned in your core classes. It’s an applied strategic management and general management course designed to give you a realistic assignment as an executive in a simulated athletic footwear company. Using a computer simulation, you’ll compete against students from other teams as you try to add value to your companies. Teams report to a real external Board of Directors, who provide approvals and feedback during the simulation.

At the end of the course you’ll participate in a symposium, where you’ll be asked to articulate your vision of the company moving forward and discuss with executives and Katz faculty the transferable skills you enhanced in the program.

Learn more about a team of experts who will support your success throughout the course, Executives in Residence.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

It’s more than just a career plan. It will help you evaluate what kind of professional you want to be, what kind of skills you want to develop. You are not just bringing home a certificate, but you are a better professional and a better person.

I chose Katz for the course offerings. I knew I could build on my strengths through the strong core curriculum with specific classes that would help me learn invaluable tactics and strategies for my career. The international community at Katz is eye-opening. Learning from individuals who come from all over the world is a valuable experience in and of itself.
