Jeff Inman Receives AMA Lifetime Achievement Award

The American Marketing Association’s 2021 awards include J. Jeffrey Inman, Associate Dean for Research and Faculty and Albert Wesley Frey Chair in Marketing, as a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for the Retail and Pricing Special Interest Group (SIG).

This national award, announced in August 2021, honors individuals with at least 20 years of academic experience post PhD who have contributed significantly to their field. Inman’s academic area focuses on consumer response to marketing actions, particularly in a retailing context. He was named a Fellow of the Society for Consumer Psychology in 2020, has published more than 50 articles and has more than 14,000 Google scholar citations.

“I am humbled and flattered to be selected by my peers through the AMA for this prestigious honor,” says Inman.

Other American Marketing Association awards include the Emerging Scholar Award, Service Award, Mentoring Award, Student Award, and Retail & Pricing Paper Award.

“Jeff Inman continues to push the boundaries of research and innovation in business,” says Arjang A. Assad, Henry E. Haller Dean. “It comes as no surprise that Jeff received this lifetime achievement award. We are continually impressed by his contributions to the field and grateful for all he has done here at Pitt Business.”
