Katz MBA Among the Top 25 Public Universities in Bloomberg Businessweek Ranking

The full-time MBA program at the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business is ranked No. 23 among public institutions and No. 54 overall in the Bloomberg Businessweek Best B-Schools 2022-23 ranking.

Bloomberg Businessweek gives schools scores in five categories—compensation (salary after graduation), learning networking, entrepreneurship, and student diversity.  The Katz scores increased most significantly from the 2021-22 ranking in entrepreneurship, which Bloomberg Businessweek defines as “the quality of training received to start a small business or startup.”

Students enrolled in the Katz full-time MBA, also called the Signature MBA, enjoy a cohort experience and complete the program in 18 months. The program is structured to give students time for a summer internship and an immersive capstone experience, which in the past has taken students to Europe, South America, and Asia.

MBA Program Options

In addition to the full-time MBA program mentioned above, Katz also offers an Accelerated MBA, a full-time program delivered in a 12-month format. This program appeals to those with extensive work experience who are looking to advance in their current industry or professional field. Classes start in early August and conclude in July.

For working professionals, Katz has part-time MBA programs that are offered online, on-campus or as a hybrid experience for core courses.

The online MBA is ranked No. 5 among 108 programs in the 2022 Fortune Online MBA Ranking. Katz excelled in the Fortune ranking categories related to student retention, graduation rates, and low tuition rates as Fortune “set out to find online MBA degree programs that both prepare distance learners for the business world and launch them into good career paths.”

To help professionals throughout their careers Katz offers other graduate programs including a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics, Master of Science degrees, and PhD programs, along with Executive MBA programs.
