Why did you choose the Katz Graduate School of Business for your MBA?
I made my decision because of the school’s reputation and commitment to providing educational opportunities to underrepresented groups. The school also has an esteemed set of faculty who have proven to be accessible and understanding of each student’s individual strengths and opportunities for growth.
In what way has Experience-Based Learning played a role in your education?
Almost all of my classes have an experience-based learning opportunity embedded into the curriculum. These projects have pushed me and my peers away from learning an idea in theory or memorizing for exams. We are challenged to work and understand concepts and ideas that are taking place in the world right now with immediate connection and understanding.
How is the Katz Graduate School of Business preparing you for greater success?
This program has provided me with real-world learning opportunities, unlike any other educational program I have been a part of. My favorite courses are the weekend intensives which are usually taught by faculty who either own their own business or hold a C-suite position. These courses allow me and my peers to take a deep dive into experience-based learning with Pittsburgh’s leading experts.
