Finding The Right Fit

When visiting the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, Danielle Hardy (MBA ’18) was immediately drawn to the culture of support amongst the students.

“There was a strong sense of collaboration and this was confirmed when current students continued to reach out to me after my visit,” says Hardy. “This differed from the competitiveness I noticed at other schools. Katz had a strong sense of community and I wanted to be part of that.”

Building Experience

The support of the Katz staff doesn’t stop after admission. The relationship between students and staff carries throughout their time at Katz.

“Simone Jurinko was a constant source of support,” says Hardy. “Whether I was going to her office to vent after a particularly stressful exam or we’re planning the Katz Invitational Case Competition, I could always count on Simone to provide solid advice or a good laugh.”

In addition to community, Katz provides professional experience-based learning. Graduates leave Katz prepared to enter the world as leaders and game-changers in the workforce.

“Between the coursework and extracurricular activities, I believe Katz helped me develop key problem solving and analytical skills that are necessary in any post-graduate position.”

Creating Perspective

Once enrolled at Katz, Hardy stayed involved as the Vice President of Katz Alliance and the President of the Roberto Clemente MBA Association. Hardy also served as the student project manager for the Katz Invitational Case Competition.

“Traveling to New Orleans and Philadelphia for the National Black MBA Association Conference were amazing experiences. Having the support of both my peers and administration was invaluable and further emphasizes the culture of support and collaboration within the Katz community.”

Working with Danielle was a true joy. She was dedicated not only to her own success, but to the success of her peers. Even now, as an alumna, I know I can count on Danielle to continue adding to the Katz community.
