Profile

Ann Pavone joined the faculty of the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh on a part-time basis in 2015 and joined full time in 2016. Previously, Ann was employed as an IT professional with over 30 years of global information systems experience at Matthews International Bronze Division, Philips Respironics, a medical device manufacturer, and the US Steel Corporation in their Fundamental Research Division. Ann’s most recent experience was as a Project Manager and SAP Order to Cash lead business analyst on a large implementation of an SAP ERP system for Axiall Incorporated, formerly PPG Chemicals. Ann has five full lifecycle implementations of SAP ERP using the ASAP methodology. With a thorough knowledge of business process engineering, Ann has designed and implemented process improvements in customer service, logistics and transportation planning, warehouse management, dangerous goods processing, international trade compliance, and intercompany and customer invoice processing. In addition to business processing, Ann has worked extensively in the design and development of applications in SAP ERP systems and has developed processes for extraction, transformation and data loading in SAP Business Intelligence systems. Ann has a particular interest in the business process improvements, IT project management, and business intelligence.

Personal Interests

Ann is an avid cyclist and art lover. She has most recently cycled in the Loire Valley, France and Valencia, Spain, but enjoys the trails and streets of Pittsburgh on most weekends. Her admiration for impressionist and modern art has been fostered by trips to the D’Orsay Museum and the Musee de l’Orangerie in Paris, Giverny France, the Prada Museum in Madrid, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, and the Marc Chagall Museum in Nice.
