Profile

Kim Abel brings over 25 years of higher education administrative leadership experience to her roles at Katz. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Executive MBA Programs in the Center for Executive Education and as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Organizations and Entrepreneurship academic area.

Previously, Kim has been responsible for end-to-end execution across human resources, finance, marketing and communications, student services, facility management, and technology. Her most notable accomplishments have come in the form of business development, financial turnaround, and enterprise-wide change initiatives. Kim’s most recent appointment in higher education was as the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources at Carnegie Mellon University, where she developed a comprehensive employee and organizational development program for university employees.

Kim has also taught courses at the University of Louisville, Clemson University, Hollins University, and West Virginia Wesleyan College and currently serves as a Dissertation Chair in Point Park University’s School of Education.
