Current Role and Responsibilities
Joe works in the Market Development Channel as a Lead Client Service Partner for relationship clients. He currently works with clients in the Healthcare and Life Sciences Industry, and focuses on the Medical Device segment. He is currently part of the Deloitte US Med Tech segment leadership team and is responsible for cross functional operations excellence.
Joe serves as the Global Lead Client Service Principal (GLSCP) for Medtronic, plc., the largest medical technology company in the industry. Joe also serves as the Americas LCSP responsible for Royal Philips, which is in the process of becoming a health technology pure play company. Previously, Joe served a variety of medical equipment and life sciences clients such as Respironics, Medrad, and Mylan Pharmaceuticals, as well as a number of Industrial Products manufacturers such as Westinghouse, Kennametal, and Mine Safety Appliances.
Joe began his career with IBM as an industrial engineer and later a manufacturing manager in Poughkeepsie, NY where he supported and oversaw the operations of an electronics components production line. In 1987, Joe transferred from operations to the IBM Manufacturing Industry where he supported a number of IBM’s largest electronics manufacturing clients. In 1992, Joe was appointed as the Client Executive, where he was responsible for IBM’s global relationship with the Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
Joe joined Deloitte in January 1997 as a Deloitte Consulting senior manager, we admitted to the partnership in 1999, and in 2004 transitioned to the Strategic Relationship Management channel of Deloitte. Since that time he has served as LCSP on several different clients and has also become a Deloitte certified instructor, delivering Relationship Mastery training at both Deloitte University and at a number of local offices to PPD’s, senior managers, and managers across all functions.
Education, Professional Affiliations & Certifications
Joe holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and is APICS Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM). Joe has attended Executive Educations Programs at both Harvard and Columbia University.
Joe currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association of Greater Pittsburgh and is on the Executive Committee for the Pittsburgh Heart Walk. Joe has previously served on the boards of the Americas Red Cross and the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera.
Joe and his wife Terri live in Pittsburgh, PA. They have two grown children, Jordan, 26, and Vittoria, 24. Joe is an avid baseball fan, fisherman, and enjoys boating and wine.
