This is Katz: Anthony C. Winfield Jr., Student Executive Board President

Congratulations to the newly elected 2021-2022 Student Executive Board (SEB) President, Anthony C. Winfield Jr.!

Winfield is currently obtaining his master’s degree in business administration with concentrations in marketing and strategy at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.

Prior to Katz, Winfield studied finance with a concentration in banking services at the University of Alabama. He spent more than three years at IBM as a senior consultant, helping clients digitally transform their businesses to adapt to market changes and better align their business structures with their corporate vision.

Winfield wanted to represent Katz as the SEB president so he could continue to enhance the student experience.

“During this unprecedented time of a global pandemic and social injustice, life as an MBA student has changed as we know it,” says Winfield. “Students are finding their voice and speaking out about their racial, gender, and sexual identity experiences. As SEB President, I want my fellow Katz students to connect with one another outside of the Zoom classroom, talk and understand each other’s experiences, and develop a sense of pride with the Katz community that promotes diversity and inclusion.”

Winfield’s goals as president are built around community outreach, mental and physical health, and professional development. He plans to continue to partner with Office of Career Management and Corporate Engagement, as well as other student organizations, to plan events around these initiatives.

“My hope as SEB President is for every student to have an enjoyable time and, most importantly, seek to make sure the entire Katz student body has an authentic, immersed experience within the Katz community that they can be proud of,” says Winfield.
