This is Katz: Russ Godek, Professional Student Executive Board President

Congratulations to the newly elected 2021-2022 Professional Student Executive Board President (PSEB), Russ Godek!

Godek is currently a Content and Channel Strategy Specialist for BNY Mellon’s Corporate Communications team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, while pursuing his master’s degree in business administration at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.

During his time at Katz, he has served as a student ambassador to assist prospective students and is in the process of earning a certificate in digital marketing.

Prior to Katz, Godek graduated from Robert Morris University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Godek excels in forward thinking ideation, preferring to tackle challenges with creative solutions and identify opportunities with outside-the-box thinking.

Through his new role as PSEB President, Godek is focused on enabling the board to set actionable goals with real, tangible results that will add value to the program for years to come by boosting admissions, improving the student experience, and building stronger relationships with alumni.

“Russ has demonstrated a strong ability in creating lasting value for the Katz community through his work on the New Student Experience and the Long-Term Initiatives Committees during the past year,” says Matt Abramson, a graduating MBA student and former PSEB President. “I’m excited for this opportunity for Russ and can’t wait to see what the full board will accomplish.”
