Meet Denise Bergdolt (MS Supply Chain Management ’23)

Why did you choose the Katz Graduate School of Business for your Master of Science?

I chose this program because of its professors and staff’s approachability, Katz’s academic competitiveness, and its variety of learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom. These learning opportunities include but are not limited to the Center for Supply Chain Management Symposium, supply chain case competitions, site visits, rapid-fire networking and recruiting events, and a Six Sigma semester-long project with a client.

In what way has Experience-Based Learning played a role in your education?

Experience-based learning played a tremendous role in my education here. Working with my team’s Six Sigma client and participating in case competitions within and outside of the supply chain field (Crane Case Competition, TCU Case Competition, Super Analytics Challenge) helped me gain insight into the issues organizations and the City of Pittsburgh are currently facing and knowledge to mitigate those challenges.
