Krista Foster joined the Business Analytics and Operations faculty in 2022. Prior to joining the faculty, Krista earned her PhD from Katz and later was part of the faculty at the University of Notre Dame. Motivated by inefficiencies in the healthcare industry and collaborations with clinicians, her research has focused on healthcare operations management. More specifically, she studies emergency department operations and the management of large-scale emergency physician networks, leveraging large amounts of data from emergency departments across the country. Her research has been published in Production and Operations Management and Annals of Emergency Medicine. Additionally, Krista has taught courses in statistics, business analytics, and operations and supply chain management.
