Profile

Mark joined Pitt Business in 2023. He enjoys helping students learn to manipulate, visualize, and analyze data to gain insights about phenomena and organizations that are important to them. Before joining Pitt Business, Mark was Associate Professor of Data Science and MIS at Chatham University, where he served as Coordinator of the Data Science and MIS programs and taught courses in data science, computer programming, database systems, data visualization, machine learning, business statistics, data ethics, and business research methods. He has also served on the faculties of Robert Morris University and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. At those schools Mark enjoyed teaching a wide range of courses including management science, business statistics, management information systems, supply chain management, project management, international business, and management theory and practice. Prior to earning his PhD, Mark worked for several years as a computer programmer and applications developer, primarily in the financial services industry.
