Dave Wolfe retired in July 2018 after a 33-year career in the Information Technology and Finance fields having spent most of his career at Duquesne Light Company (DLC) in Pittsburgh, PA. During his last three plus years at DLC, Dave led the Office of the CIO with responsibility for all the business functions involved in running a successful IT organization such as strategic planning, budgeting, cost control, sourcing, staffing, and communications. In prior roles at DLC, Dave directed or managed various functions within IT including the Project Management Office (PMO), application development and support teams as well as the infrastructure and telecommunication departments.

For the last eight years, Dave has taught various graduate and undergraduate courses in the disciplines of Project Management, IT and Accounting at both the University of Pittsburgh and Carlow University. Dave is a member of Carlow’s Dean Advisory Board and has received multiple honors from Carlow’s MBA program including being named Executive in Residence in 2015 and winning Adjunct Professor of the Year in 2017. 

In preparation for instructor roles in Project Management, Dave earned Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)® in March 2018. He also has an MBA from Duquesne University along with an undergraduate degree in Computer Systems and Accounting from Grove City College.
