Katz MBA Ranks No. 22 Among Best B-Schools at Public Universities 

The full-time MBA program at the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business is ranked No. 22 among public institutions and No. 49 overall in the Bloomberg Businessweek Best B-Schools 2023-24.

This national ranking gives schools scores in five categories—compensation (salary after graduation), learning, networking, entrepreneurship, and diversity. The highest score for Katz was in the “learning” category, which Bloomberg Businessweek defines as the quality, depth, and range of instruction.

Students enrolled in the Katz full-time MBA, also called the Signature MBA, enjoy a cohort experience and complete the program in 18 months. The program is structured to give students time for a summer internship and an immersive capstone experience, which in the past has taken students to Europe, South America, and Asia.

MBA Program Options

Katz, which is among the 5% of business schools accredited by the AACSB, also offers an Accelerated MBA, a full-time program delivered in a 12-month format. This program appeals to those with extensive work experience who are looking to advance in their current industry or professional field. Classes start in early August and conclude in July. 

For working professionals, Katz has part-time MBA programs that are offered online, on-campus or as a hybrid experience for core courses. The online MBA was ranked No. 5 among 108 programs in the 2022 Fortune Online MBA Ranking
